Where I come from

My research is rooted in my embodied experience as a white-mestiza Mexican. I’m committed to interrogating and dismantling the violent regime that upholds the nation.

My work

I articulate film, affect, and sound studies to unveil the hidden stories behind our own affective responses to music and the moving image. The past - like sound - lingers on.
